DSPRO was founded in 2008 with the mission of manufacturing innovative products for the professional audio market.

Relying on a research team with expertise in the development of world class products, DSPRO focuses on high-performance and high-reliability technology-based products.

In 2009, the company launched the first digital multi-cable fully developed in Brazil: the DSnake. The line had the most advanced technology in digitalization and audio transmission of its time and was produced in a modern assembly system with strict quality standards.

DSPRO’s corporate headquarters is located in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

2008

DSPRO is born

DSPRO was formed in 2008 in Porto Alegre, Brazil. During the early years, the company was assisted by the CIENTEC Technology Incubator.

2009

First product: DSnake modular

The first product under the brand DSPRO – DSnake Modular – was released in 2009. It was targeted for digital snake systems but due to its flexibility ended up being used in many different applications. DSnake Modular is still in production.

2010

DSnake family grows

In 2010 DSPRO releases a new member of the DSnake family: DSnake Compact – a single rack unit Audio over Ethernet converter for up to 64 channels.

2011

Large Music Festivals

In 2011 the DSnake system was used at the major music festivals in Brazil – thanks to its flexibility for routing up to 80 audio inputs to multiple mixing consoles.

In the same year two new products have joined the DSnake family: DS8IN and DS8OUT, targeted for low channel-count and highly distributed applications. The AES/EBU option card for DSnake Compact was also released that year.

2012

MADI, Compact 64R, Optical Converter

In 2012 the DSnake family was complete after the release of 3 new products: the MADI Bridge, Compact 64R and DSnake Optical Converter.

2014

EtherFace

In 2014 a new product family was released: EtherFace. It is a series of audio interfaces for Mac/PCs with Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.

The first product in this series, EtherFace 3xAES50, enables simultaneous playback and recording of 72 24-bit/96kHz audio channels over 3 AES50 ports.

In the same year EtherFace 2xMADI was released, allowing 128 bidirectional channels over two MADI ports.

2015

International Certifications and Export

In 2015 DSPRO started shipping EtherFace to Europe, after a CE certification process.

2016

New Headquarters

In 2016 the company moved to its present headquarters in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

2017

DSPRO and Waves Audio Partnership

In 2017 DSPRO started its partership with Waves Audio which resulted in the release of the StageGrid 4000, a stagebox with SoundGrid connectivity designed for live applications using Waves eMotion LV1 mixer software.
